Weapons & Workmanship: Chasing a Royal Hunt

Crafted to be awe-inspiring as well as lethal, arms and armour from South Asia are also objects of beauty and sophisticated craftsmanship. In addition to their use as weapons, they are symbols of royalty and often carry religious signifiers. In this episode of Treasures, Dr Rachel Parikh takes us on a Mughal and Rajput hunt, exploring paintings and several exquisite specimens of arms and ammunition from the region!

Dr Rachel Parikh is Assistant Curator with the Worcester Art Museum, Massachusetts, looking after their formidable collection of Asian objects, especially arms and armour.
